More than 5.000 attendees participated in Dreamforce '06, salesforce.com’s 4th annual user & developer conference in San Francisco, October 8-11, 2006. A number of significant product, technology, partner and customer announcements were made at the conference. First of all Apex, a server-side on-demand programming language and platform, will deliver better possibilities to customize your CRM.
More than 5.000 attendees participated in Dreamforce '06, salesforce.com’s 4th annual user & developer conference in San Francisco, October 8-11, 2006. A number of significant product, technology, partner and customer announcements were made at the conference. First of all Apex, a server-side on-demand programming language and platform, will deliver better possibilities to customize your CRM.
With Apex customers and partners get the opportunity to work on the programming language and platform to customize the salesforce.com CRM solution with self developed applications by changing the existing code or adding their own program code. That enables customer to modify and even to rebuild any aspect of the salesforce.com suite of CRM applications to meet their unique needs. Apex code and applications will run on salesforce.com's service, freeing businesses to buy and to deploy a software infrastructure. More than 400 applications already exist, listed in the AppExchange directory.
In the Customer Demo Gallery at Dreamforce the conference attendees were able to visit and chat with more than 150 exhibitors to get demonstrations of partner solutions and AppExchange tutorials.
The Apex platform is currently scheduled for availability in conjunction with the salesforce.com Winter ’07 release and the Apex language will be available in the first half of 2007.
During the conference the attendees received a preview of new features that are coming up in the next Winter ’07 release. For those are interested in learning more, ClientHouse will provide a training that will cover all the necessary instructions for users and administrators to understand the functions, capabilities, and operations of the new release. The training is scheduled to be held by mid-January. The exact date will be announced soon.
